We just received our sample of the new UVSHIELD Max, slated to be launched late August from INTELLI (formally known as intelliARMOR) – it’s a really cool new idea, in a hot & growing category!  Initial design thoughts are that it looks like a sophisticated, space-age lunchbox, that packs a TON of UV-C lights from within.  It’s surprising lightweight, and overall build and structure seem to be sound for its intended use.

A convenient back sleeve allows you to tuck away a 3ft USB cable where the unit is then plugged into the wall to begin sanitization.

When INTELLI approached us with this product their initial intent was to offer something for their stores and their staff to efficiently and conveniently sanitize multiple devices all at once.  In reviewing this further – we think they accomplished and fulfilled this need particularly well.

Large inner cavity allows for devices upwards of 10.2″ diagonally to fit within the sanitizer, or multiple smaller devices at once.

We tested this with Apple’s 10.2″ iPad, and it easily fit diagonally, even with a case on, and was able to zip up and sanitize as advertised.  The inside of the UVSHIELD Max has a highly reflective material (again, space-like) that allows the device(s) we put inside to receive more than enough light all around them during the sanitizing process.

Easily fits the most common items around the office, your store, classroom that need to be sanitized all at once (with room to spare)!

We envision this product being a go to for our retail customer’s store staff for items that may need sanitization after demos lets say, or after the end consumer tests and holds a device during the buying process.  We have heard a lot over the past 3 months that as stores open, there is a growing need to not only sanitize counters / workspaces, but to also ensure store staff’s devices, retail POS items and customer demos are also sanitized properly.  UVSHIELD Max can do just that we found – with a huge bay inside to properly store countless items at once.

A simple POWER ON button on the front panel initiatives the 3-minute cycle, as well a convenient window helps you see the process take place.

A large and simple on/off button up front (after plugging in the built-in 3ft USB-A), will initiate the 3-minute sanitization cycle, which you can view through the front bay’s window.  The is novel of course as you don’t really see anything except the light for 3 minutes pouring onto the devices inside, but this was a cool feature as other UV-C sanitizers are completely enclosed.  We asked if this effected the sanitization results, but it does not, and they still found the UVSHIELD Max to be 99.99% successful in the eradication of the most common bacteria and micro-organisms, which were all killed during the 3 minute cycle.

The most important feature about the UVSHIELD Max are the UV-C lights themselves – all 12 of them!  That’s a TON of lights to have within a sanitizer, which is why we know this is going to be a go-to for many of our retail stores that need to ensure their store’s devices, materials and demos are properly sanitized and ready to keep their staff and customers safe!
